Well, I have officially been gone from Utah for 9 days now. I have accepted a job with the Tennessee Department of Transportation as a Civil/Structural Engineer in the Tullahoma office. We have found a nice little home in Manchester, TN to start our new life. I know I was aiming to get back to Alabama, but I love this area. We are about halfway between Nashville and Chattanooga, just off of I-24.
There's great fishing where I am, and I have already met a few guys who love to fish almost as much as me. There are 3 lakes right here - Normandy Lake, Woods Reservoir, and Tims Ford Lake. The Duck River and Little Duck River are right here, as well as others within a reasonable drive. So I have my learning cut out for this area.
I just want to say I had a fun 5 years in Utah when it comes to fishing. I have met some great people that have become great friends. Many on this site have helped me increase my knowledge of fishing, and I am very appreciative of that. I will be checking out this site fairly regularly, and will have to share some experiences I have down here.
Again - thanks for the enjoyable times on Utah waters. The time has come for me to learn some new ones. And I am up for the challenge!

Good to hear you found that job so quick, I hope you do well there in Tenn Ben. Looks like the Tenn board is dead but if you don't mind posting a few fishing reports, it might get things to turn around.

Keep building bridges, and feeding her ice-cream, and you'll keep the boat rocking. Been great sharing water and adventures with you.
You've taught this old dawg a few tricks, and been glad to take 'em and run. You sure got around, and learned the roads and waters of this happy valley. You and Lava enticed me onto Ice, and out catting/carping adventures will stand strong in my memories of favored trips for long to come.
I know we differ on religious/political issues, but I love that we've always been able to throw all that crap aside, and be comrades, and fish together, and just enjoy getting out and about. Kinda like the tubers and tooners - you and I were able to venture out together on our little flatbottoms, yet independent roamers. Still gotta get a Gig!
And I will always owe you one for THIS shot. Thanks for the net-and measure.
Keep the kids after 'em, you're ever so lucky to have a supportive spouse. Best wishes for you and yours.

Always wished I'd nabbed a shot of you with bow at the ready.... but this is close.

[#0000FF]All the best in your new surroundings. You sure could have picked a worse place for a fisherman. Lots of water and lots of fish back there.
My daughter and her family live in Cleveland, TN. That is just east of Chattanooga. Been back there to visit and didn't take any tackle. My rod arm was twitchin' all the time as I kept crossing over rivers and driving beside lakes. Thankfully, our son-in-law is a hardcore fisherman and regularly sends pics of him and our daughter holding up big fishies.
Hope your new job supports you well enough that you have both the time and finances to be able to take advantage of all the fishing opportunities.
