Hi all,
I finally made the big move from downstate Saginaw to Houghton (U.P), Michigan to attend Mich Tech Univ. I've been trying my ass of to get some good advice from the locals (mostly young students), but haven't gotten much "useful" help. I know it's late summer and most of the fishing is slow, but fish gotta eat!
I only have till next Tues. before classes begin and I would like to score at lease one day of "live action", lol before I have to buckle down and put the fun aside.
I was hoping to get some specifics on night fishing for landlocked rainbows or daytime fly fishing for brookies. I own a 13' fiberglass trihull boat...nicely equipped. I managed to put a meal on the table the other day with some bass and bluegill, then a half a meal a couple days later.
If anyone has any good late summer locations and/or tips for the western u.p. (Houghton/Keewenaw area) I would be more than grateful to hear about em'. Thanks in advance for your knowledge and time.
