[font "Calibri"][size 3]Fished Roosevelt this past weekend 11/18-20/2011…water temps62-65, pressure up and stable with a slight drop on Sunday, water visibilityaround 18 inches in the river and up to three feet main lake. Fishing was tough and it seemed the bass andshad had not gotten to the backs of coves…a lot of time spent riding aroundlooking for bait and schools…did find some fish against steep drops, usingcranks and dropshot…did not get anything on topwaters, hard jerkbaits,chatterbaits, or spinnerbaits where I was. But any weekend on the water is agood one…[/size][/font]

Sounds like it was a successful trip anyways. I have t been up that way yet. Do you go up there often. I've heard it has some great fishing and as soon as I get a free weekend I'm gonna have to check it out. Thanks for the update. I know there's not much activity on this states board but I think if we keep posting maybe it will catch on. I for one will start posting more. If I could just get out on the water.

Where are you, do you fish a local club...? Most of my learning and fishing is coming from a local club in Tucson and we have a good time doing it...although this last trip to Rosie was with my brother who flew down from Illinois...Regards...

I'm actually in Mesa. We just moved down here last summer. I don't belong to any clubs or anything I wouldn't even know where to start to look for one. Ive been fishing all my life and have just learned through trial and error I guess. Sounds like you and your brother had fun, that's great. Good luck in the future.

There are several clubs in Phx area, I don't know how many fish club tourneys or just fish with federation tourneys...Midweek Bass Anglers is an excellent club, and they fish on Wednesdays. Our Tucson club has a few Phx members...another web site is AZ Bass Zone if you haven't already connected there...lots of locals with advice and BS...but it's all good...

Thanks for the info. I don't usually fish specifically for bass but I do catch quite a few while crappie or bluegill fishing. I'll give those clubs a look up though. I'm always lookin for others to fish with who enjoy it as much as I do.
