I got there a little after noon. The water was a little choppy but I thought it the wind would be dropping. I made it down the west side about a mile and the chop turned to full on waves and they were white caps. I turned the pontoon around and headed back. The wind was so bad and the waves were so rough I had to have the trolling motor on 4 to make head way of 1 MPH. That setting on friday was running about 3.5 MPH. The water was splashing over the pontoons and that made them colder. When they got colder they went a little limp which made things even worse. I never even saw a fish on the fish finder. When I turned around I put the rods away and just worked on getting back alive. I didn't see anyone catch any fish or talked to anyone with fish. In these pictures I was just headding out. The second picture shows a couple of good sized waves but they got real bad on the way back. I took some video of it in case my family wanted to know what happened[Image: dumb.gif]

a very crazy bunch that would do just about anything
for fishing [Smile].
Getting into some bad weather is just a part of that I guess.

Been there with that sinking feel in the stomach. Lucky that's as bad as it got for me. Glad it came out good for you, too.

Pon

Ps. Now I do mostly rivers that are much safer. So I thought, until I saw what the recent floods that killed all those campers did.
