Was out of work yesterday and decided to try to refresh my memory on what the lake looked like. I have not been fishing in about 2 months. I had hoped the lake would be up, but I was dissapointed. Ran upriver a bit to try to catch some schoolers at a community hole. There were some fish there, (I could see them) but we only boated 4 slicks (5 white bass)in about an hour on a variety of baits (DD22,spoon,trigged worm). My buddy if a Guntersville fisherman, so he mentioned flipping the grass, so off we went to CFP. I have heard that there have been some fish caught in the grass lately. We threw frogs and buzzbaits, but same story two more slicks. I think water temp was 78-79? clarity was good, and water level seemed normal . , clear weather, slight wind out of east (I think) I need to get out there more. :emoticon:logo
