Put in Soddy Creek early this morning, hoping to catch a few crappie,
And a few it was, only 14 crappie, one spot and one 'gill, emoScratch Just could not find the schools of fish today. Caught 2 or 3 here and 2 or 3 there,
I did catch some nice slabs with 2 in the 13's and 3 in the 12's, only had 4 throw backs that were less than 10". It was cool on the water early with the water temp down to 79* and a north wind at about 6 or 7 mph which made for some waves being helped by all the boat traffic this morning......Bait of the day seemed to be BG crystal and bleeding shad on a 1/16th leadhead. The crappie were really down, most were at least a 20 count and caught a couple right under the boat at 30 feet. Also a lot of very light hits today, not aggressive at all.
It was a nice morning but the seadoo's and destroyers were out in numbers by 10 AM so I headed for the trailer.

Thanks to BBass I have disk brake parts for my boat trailer now so this week I hope to get those installed. Having to pull the rig off Signal Mtn to go fishing is hard on the tow vehicle's brake system so I thought I would install some brakes on the boat trailer to give better control. Shouldn't be too big'a job and hope it will be safer traveling, emoSmile emoThumbsup

Thanks BBass, for coming out on your Sunday morning to get the parts for me, I owe you one, emoSmile

No pic's today, forgot the camera, emoAngry
