Danny and I set out to see if I could get the skunk off my new boat...and we did! We started about 9:00 out of HBSP and headed to Wolftever. After playing around with the bass for about 30 mins with no bites, we decided to try for crappie. We found a couple back in Wolftever creek, which officially "de-skunked" the Green Gremlin. With no size to the fish, we headed back out to the river and hit a bluff and a couple deepwater docks. The last dock we hit produced most of our fish. We were using 1/16th oz. heads with pearl colored stinger-type baits. The presentation had to be SLOW and even then, the bite was so subtle that we missed a bunch. But we ended up catching about 12-15 crappie and 2 spaaats. I kept 5 crappie and 1 spaaat to put in the freezer. We headed in about 2pm. It was a great day to be on the water with some warming temps. A couple more weeks of warm weather and it'll be on emoCool

http://i39.tinypic.com/1zohh52.jpg

http://i39.tinypic.com/aui55g.jpg
