10/1/06 Fishing Report from the Domes (San Onofre)

[size 1]October 1, 2006 (6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) - Four of us ventured out a couple miles off the Domes. We used live sardines, and caught 4 bonito (between 10-0 to 11-8). Caught one sand bass earlier that morning off a small kelp bed closer to shore. Fishing appeared to be generally slow. Observed several Dana Wharf's fishing boats moving around a lot. Based on their fishing reports, it appears that fishing was slow for everyone.
