Thanks to the cooperative efforts of the Buncombe County Parks and Recreation Services, Progress Energy and the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, Lake Julian recently joined the Commission's Community Fishing Program (CFP) and Fishing Tackle Loaner Program (FTLP). [/size][/#000000][/font]
[font "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"][#000000][size 2]As a new CFP site, Lake Julian recently received the first of six stockings of 8- to 12-inch channel catfish, with monthly stockings following in June through October. Commission personnel are stocking 6,000 channel catfish this year, and on an annual basis, to enhance fishing opportunities. [/size][/#000000][/font]
