My work found me at Wahweap this week and Dan Keller the DNR biologist that took over when Wayne retired took me out to fish for stripers by the dam. We motored along the cliff walls until he found a school, hit spot lock and dropped 1/4oz. Jig heads with cut anchovy down to them and it was instant fish on with non stop action we quit when we couldn’t close the lid on the cooler to clean our catch and move on to bass fishing unfortunately we only got to do that for about 20minutes before the wind came up and blew us off the lake. I stayed in the DNR bunkhouse last night and got up early this morning at first light and fished from the bank around the marina using a flicker shad and a ned rig to catch a bunch of small mouth and 1 decent large mouth, I also caught a striper on my first cast of the morning on the flicker shad. I didn’t take many pictures and Dan asked me if I wanted to take some pictures after we had already fillet half our stripers.
