Humminbird vs lowrance

Looking to upgrade the fish finder, currently have the HDS 7. Anyone have experience with the helix 10mega G2N? Good or bad. Or the lowrance elite.

Like Robert said, using the Humminbird to steer your MinnKota trolling motor makes a strong case for going with this brand. You can set a straight course, create tracks to follow, or (my favorite) lock on a contour depth and the Humminbird will steer the boat along that contour line for as long as you want.

My boat came with a Lowrance Hook2 sonar, but I prefer the imagining on the Humminbird. Just my preference.

In general, you get what you pay for, and getting the latest and greatest on a large screen can be spendy. But for me, a good sonar is part of the fun of fishing.
