Weather was perfect and the fishing was better. I was on the water at 6:30 and fished until 11:00. The cats were hungry. I gave fligs a try for the first time. That was fun. I used my light rod with a 4 pound leader. Landed a white bass, 12 inch walleye, and a 10lbs carp. I had to follow it for a 20 minutes. I was hoping for an eye.

I have never seen the lake as clear as it was today. As I look from my house it is blue. I could see carp swimming under my boat. I will enjoy that until the next wind storm.

Agree with your observation about the water. It is a perfect aqua-blue. I seldom see it that clear. The coming storms will probably turn it muddy again. Bummer!
