Went by LC yesterday and it appears to be in the middle of spring turnover. Water was off color with debris everywhere. Didn’t even wet a line. They really need to re-pave the 1 mile shortcut that bypasses Croydon. Then went over to East Canyon and found the same conditions. Water is already up to 54 at east canyon. Decided to launch anyways and fishing was slow while wedge dock is in and at least the lake is higher so the walk up the ramp isn’t as bad as last fall. Small bow and a smallmouth was all I got

I cant wait for the smallmouth to turn on at EC. They can be a hoot. Hoping the wipers they released start to make a strong showing too.

The distance difference is only about 0.6 of a mile. The time difference is insignificant. What would be gained, how much would it cost, and who would pay for it? If you're pulling a trailer of any kind, just stay on SR 158 through Croydon.[/#800000]

I took my grandson up fishing and we did the opposite route. We started at East Canyon and got nothing. I saw one small rainbow caught and nothing more so we went to Lost Creek. We did OK there. My grandson caught his limit of the under 15" variety but once I jokingly told him that since he caught more than grandpa he had to put on his own worms he quit. I got a couple of the under 15" variety and returned 3 of the slot variety, two cutts and a bow. They were all in the 18-20" range.

Sounds like you did pretty decent. Was the water still off color when you were there?

The water was a bit off color but adding some color to the presentation helped.
