Heading to Otter Creek this weekend. Any recent reports on how its been fishing.
I read the latest DWR report and it sounds like the lake is recovering from the low water last year to fix the dam.
Thanks in advance!

DWR has also completed early gillnetting...results were good. Lots of nice rainbows and wipers to be caught. However, lots of chubs were found too (probably because Koosharem was drained last year).

		Thanks for the information.
Otter Creek has always put out some good rainbows.
Hopefully the wipers can knock down the increase in chubs.

More chubs are bad for the rainbows growth but great for wiper growth. I need to make a trip down there.

The wipers are going to be tough to catch, in my opinion. But, if they do what they have done in Newcastle and Minersville, they will eventually wipe the chubs out. I think it is only a matter of time at Otter Creek.
The DWR netted about 100 chubs per net....which is a lot. That will probably hamper rainbow growth, but it will definitely result in some more monster wipers. They also netted a number of wipers around 10 pounds.
