Putting the boat in there to try some saltwater fishing. Any suggestions? Whats running in Sept?

Took a ride there today with the Lund in tow. No bites on the bait while drifting. Saw 1 blue crab on the pier but even though we put in bait in 5 ft of water then 10 ft. nothing came to the chicken wings. A fella I met at the launch. [ we see them everytime when they stop to talk] said it's been a great season for crabs. At least for the fishermen with traps left over night. I guess I need to drop some bait near their traps then. [
] Not happy with the days ride, but will try again in near future. Still trying to figure out these southern waters. [:/][crazy][signature]
