I will copy the post to this one as well.[/#0000a0] [/size] [signature] Re: [tubeN2] Pickled Fish Recipes - Hutch00 - 02-06-2004 [#800000][size 4]Pickled Shrimp[/size][/#800000] [#800000][/#800000] [#800000]These can all be adjusted to your own taste For 3 pounds of shrimp: 1 shrimp or crawfish boil bag {Zatarains makes a good one} 2-3 cups olive oil 1cup balsamic vinegar {or to taste} but only use balsamic 1 large sweet onion sliced [I use Vidalia onions] LOTS of Garlic for 3 pounds of shrimp I'll use atleast 10 cloves crushed salt and pepper to taste for added spice some dried red chile flakes to taste first you boil shrimp with one of those shrimp boil bags Zatarains makes a good one also called crawfish boil then just as the water starts to boil turn off and immediately chill shrimp under cold running water then in a bowl crush garlic as much as you like {about 30-40 cloves} as Emeril would say the more the better then slice up some onion I use Vidalia onions real sweet then add olive oil and balsamic vinegar some salt and pepper then add shrimp and let marinate in the fridge for a couple hours if you want it spicy add some dried red chile flakes after marinating you can eat them cold or grill them a little either way they're great but don't plan any romantic evenings after eating them {lots of GARLIC} but you will repel vampires [ ![]() [/#800000] [signature] |
