Rock fish - gdn443 - 03-23-2016
Fished the Roanoke today for 4 hrs. Found where the locals like for areas to fish. White perch as well as Rocks were taken as I passed by. I'll be back Friday and Saturday to these spots. No school of stripers were found, but I can take one an hour if I have to. Only have 10 more days till I head north. [

I've heard mention white perch before and I'm wondering if they are the same as the white bass we have here, did you take and pics Gregg? At least you got out and caught some fish. Was there any size to the ones you caught?

White perch are exactly that. We caught 4 small cats and a nice 20" with one white perch. They tell me I'm a couple of weeks before the heavy spring run. Too bad as I'm heading north in a few days. but have learned some good spots to fish. Some Rocks being caught but not many yet. [
