Little Dell Res. stocked - Matador - 01-23-2004
Earlier this year there were several posts about Little Dell Reservoir. There was some question as to whether it is stocked. Here is the answer: Look at this link from the DWR.

That's really interesting.
I can figure out what most of the fish codes stand for, but it looks like there are several sub-species of rainbows planted. Anyone know what those mean?
I know that the channel cats they put in the urban fisheries are raised in Kansas. I wonder if that is shown in the code too?

Yeah, 4.92 inches isn't much now but in a year Little Dell should be a legitimate fishin hole.

I was just reading it a little more closely....over 3 million fish planted in Strawberry last year!!! WOW!
Also...at Mill Hollow on July 29, 4,000 fish at an average length of just under 4 inches were planted. The fish code says "TG". What the heck could that be? Do you think they planted tiger trout in Mill Hollow?
What does SFBL stand for? They put 50,000 of them in Yuba and a few in Bountiful Pond.
There isn't a listing for Willard. Does that mean that no new wipers were planted?
Take a look at Rock Cliff State Park....they planted a whopping 58 fish there! :-)

SFBL is for Sun Fish Blue Gill
TG is tiger trout.
CTBVMM is cutthroat bonneville Manning Meadows.
First part is always genus then species and where the fish come from.
The funny part is they stocked Muskie in Johnson res. again.

Manning Meadows is a brood stock pond that is open for fishing a couple months every year. It has special regulations like artificial flies and lures and one over 22". I haven't check the new proclamation yet to see if they changed it.

Wow did everyone notice how many trout were dumped into Mantua. That place should be hot as can be. What is the deal. Everyone I have talked to has said it has been quite slow.
