Open Water in SE Idaho? - YooperInIdaho - 01-16-2016

With the warm weather predicted for tomorrow and the Monday holiday, I'm wondering if there is any open water in SE Idaho to try out some new gear that I got for Christmas. I'd normally wade below the dam in American Falls, but that was frozen over solid last time I was out there.

Anyone know of a good place?

Crystal springs pond never freezes . Full of planters .

Springfield would be another good choice. Check regulations before you go because it does have special regs.

Thanks, folks! I had never heard of Crystal Springs, and hadn't thought about Springfield.

If you are coming from the north Crystal springs access is about 4 miles before Springfield Resivior .
