A Crappie Day Off - F15Hwhisperer - 01-05-2016
Had the day off work and school doesn't start till next week so I figured nows the time to get some fishing in before life gets crazy again.
I went up to Pineview for the first time this morning full well expecting it to be an exploration trip with lots of fishing and little catching, but ended up being pleasantly surprised.
I got on the water around 8 am, the bite started out slow, but picked up around 9 and I was catching a fish nearly every drop from then tin about 10:30 when it shut off again. Total fish count was 23 crappies and 3 small perch. I kept 15 of the bigger crappie for dinner and let the rest go.
Overall great trip, and I'm looking forward to eating crappie for the first time tonight at dinner.
