Have to the love some of the tail waters that Idaho have to fish.
Hope this doesn't offend you but it will keep you from loosing bigger fish is if they are decent sized in a big river like that get them on the real and use the drag. If you'll get in the habit of doing that you will get broke off a lot less and not have the hook pull out as much. The hand strip in and jerky starts and stops are where tippet and leader gets put to the test on those big boys.
