Surf fishing? - albinotrout - 09-01-2015 If I was to do some surf fishing would point Reyes national seashore be a good spot? [signature] Re: [albinotrout] Surf fishing? - tubeN2 - 10-23-2015 That area will be on fire in a few weeks as the worm water from El Nino is working it's way up the coast. There should still be some Barred Surf Perch booming in that area. Sand Worms and Sand Crabs are the prime ticket. [signature] Re: [tubeN2] Surf fishing? - albinotrout - 10-23-2015 Cool! How is it during the summer? Say June or July? [signature] Re: [albinotrout] Surf fishing? - tubeN2 - 10-28-2015 June and July is the peak of Barred Surf Perch and Corbina fishing. There are also Halibut if you have the right gear. What do you usually like to surf fish for? [signature] Re: [tubeN2] Surf fishing? - albinotrout - 10-28-2015 Whatever that bites. I have only been surf fishing once and it was back east and nothing was biting. Monterey bay has much more fishing to be offered from the Piers or even the Surf. It is only a small treck south from Frisco and well worth the venture. A crab trap or two may be of interest to you. Monterey bay was and may always be one of my favorite crabbing spots for Dungenes as well as California King Crabs.[cool] [signature] |
