Hey all
I'm new to freshwater fishing and caught this one over the weekend. Someone mind telling me what kind it is? Smallmouth?

Welcome to BFT! That actually looks like a largemouth bass.

It is. Is that a froggy for the lure? I'm still trying to find a top water bite. [Sad]

Scum Frog, dropped it right in some weeds and hopped it out. As soon as it hit the water he grabbed it.

That is a Largemouth Bass. The spinious dorsal appears to be retracted but the rest of the markings prove it to be a Largemouth. [cool]
