How's the blue gill bite around twin lakes and such this year? They in the shallows or has this weather still have them staging further out? Considering heading down next week.

Havnt been able to hit any or the lakes with all the rain we have had but I noticed in a couple ponds we have they they are on there nests.

On Sat. there was a bass tournament at twin lakes. I couldn't find the bluegill there. Johnson had plenty of bluegill. Not on beds yet. I found them in 4-7 ft of water.

How did the bass tournament go? Any size on the bass? Any body run into the crappie?

My friend ended up winning it with his friend. They had some 3-4lbers if I remember correctly. Big fish award came to a guy who caught one over 6lb on a squarebill.
He went back the following week and did catch a crappie and gill, but he was mostly after bass.
