Burraston Ponds - FarmToy - 04-06-2015 I just got my 9 year old a pole for Easter and we want to go somewhere close camping/fishing this weekend. Burraston is really the closest to us that has a campground. I have been a very inactive fisherman since I got married and left home. What is the best bait to use at Burraston? Has anyone been down there yet this year?? [signature] Re: [FarmToy] Burraston Ponds - SkunkedAgain - 04-06-2015 Hey welcome to the forum!! I'm not very familiar with anything about Burraston Pond but it's hard to beat night crawlers for a universal bait. I'm sure other members that have fished there will chime in and help out. Good luck hope you and your son have a great time. Later J [signature] Re: [FarmToy] Burraston Ponds - nkunz - 04-06-2015 For some reason they have changed Burriston to day use only. No camping is allowed now. [signature] Re: [nkunz] Burraston Ponds - FarmToy - 04-06-2015 [quote nkunz]For some reason they have changed Burriston to day use only. It looks like its going to be a chilly night Thursday, so I think I might simulate a camp trip and have a campfire in my backyard roast some marshmallows, then go down and try out either Burraston or Spring Lake Friday morning. [signature] Re: [FarmToy] Burraston Ponds - KodiakFisher - 04-07-2015 You may want to look at stocking reports and find a community pond that's recently had some new blood added. It'll make for an easier "first time and first time in a while" trip. Then you can't go wrong with powerbait or worms Here's the link to the DWR stocking reports http://www.utahfishinginfo.com/dwr/fishstockingreport.php [signature] Re: [FarmToy] Burraston Ponds - kidsnme - 04-07-2015 We did real good at burrstons last week. Garlic powerbait or worms tipped with garlic marshmallows. [signature] Re: [kentofnsl] Burraston Ponds - Flyfishinglover - 04-08-2015 +1 [signature] |
