Drop Shot Rig - 14gills - 03-05-2015 Ok peeps lets talk drop shots? I like to use an octopus hook and a skinny thin drop shot hook. I like to use the old roboworm and my baitof choice. Tell me what you use in your drop shot setup! I am curious to see what you all use out there or if there is some changes that you make to the rig. Keepum wet!! When I'm fishing thick brush piles or trees I use Hall's Hooks 2/0 octopus hooks. He custom makes wire weedguards on some very sharp hooks. Roboworms and Strike King Dream Shot for most of my Utah stuff. [signature] Re: [14gills] Drop Shot Rig - HockeyMan - 05-10-2015 Don't limit yourselves to finesse presentations. I too use octopus and mosquito hooks for "drop shot" presentations but have also beefed up the tackle to 1/0 and 2/0 fine wire off shank worm hooks, baby brush hogs, and 3/8 oz sinkers. There have been many occasions when the power shot has out produced traditional drop shot. HM [signature] |
