Ice Off Lake Trout - TroutMan93 - 03-02-2015
I'm looking forward to the upcoming ice off and I was just thinking about the lake trout in some of the lakes up big cottonwood. Has anybody ever targeted them during ice off? Would it be similar to ice off fishing strawberry and other trout waters where they will come in shallow?

you got a long ways to go. lake mary was drained way low before winter. I hope the fish make it. Ice off fishing is good at places other than strawberry. EC might not be a bad place to try now on the fly. Right before dark.

Some of the lakes? I think you mean one of the lakes.
About the only way to know at that one lake will be to go try it in a couple months.
