Pineview Crappie 1-3-15 - Sirfilletalot - 01-03-2015
Just got home from Pineview with 20 crappie. Only caught 4 small perch. Tried larger jigs with wax worms and perch meat, the crappie still hit before the jig could reach the bottom. The crappie were about 7-9 inches with a couple slightly larger. They are pretty thin with not much meat on the fillets. Ice was safe in the North arm, not sure about the narrows.

Thanks for the report Sir! I'm heading up Wednesday hoping to bring a mess of fish back for some tacos! Any color jigs work better than others?

I used white and chartreuse crappie jigs 1/16 oz, tipped with a small piece of perch meat.
