I think its gunna be a bit. I just checked hyrum dam cam. Didnt even see any ice at all. Hope soon though. Thanks,

Hyrum usually freezes well after Mantua, and Mantua just capped.
Give it a couple weeks, maybe three for safe ice.

Keep watching the dam cam it will probably cap if we get a few consecutive days below zero with highs in the low twenties. I expect within a week after Mantua is fishable Hyrum will cap. Last year it froze over about the same time as you could first safely fish Mantuas ice. It's nice to spread the ice fishermen out. Later J

I second what everyone else is saying about three weeks, it may be shorter but it's best to be safe. Or try as long as you can until the itch gets too strong!
