National Weather Service says low single digits and high in the teens for most of the next week there. Should be capped soon. Git yer ice skates ready!

Remember though, the other variable down there for icemaking is the everpresent wind. Lets pray for calm conditions.

That is a great sign!! I'm still a little nervous for my trip down there ive been planning for. we had to move it up a weekend so its Jan 8-10 now instead of Jan 17-19. the next few days are supposed to be the coldest so hopefully by this weekend it is all capped and by next week it has 5+ inches and fish are excited for first ice. keep posting updates if you can so I don't lose sleep over this.

Just spoke with fish lake lodge. the lake is still pretty much wide open. Despite the frigid temps, it was been too windy to cap over...disappointing.

Still wide open as of today 1/1/15, 4pm. little ice around the edges but that is all.
