Mud Lake Conditions Report - OvidCreek - 12-24-2014
Went to Mud Lake last night and it is capped! The problem is there is only one inch of ice. It will probably be safe with the forecasted weather in about a week.

Last year I went out and the biggest perch I caught was about four inches long. I had my Jawjacker in the deepest water I could find about four feet and when it went off it launched that poor little fish right out of the hole. Miss the old days there.

New to the board. Fished Mud Lake today. The ice is about 4" thick. It is good ice though. Two of us fished hard on the north end. Punched a lot of holes and tried a lot of rigs. Only caught 3 perch and 1 bass. Appreciate this forum! Thanks.

The perch did not have any size. Of the three we caught, the biggest was about 5".
