Newcastle Res on Saturday - supascoopa9000 - 04-29-2014
A few friends and I are planning on hitting Newcastle Res on Saturday for some wiper action. None of us have ever been there and I was wondering if anyone has any good info on the reservoir or what works for wipers time of year. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks!

I know that a few wipers have been caught out there, but typically the wiper action doesn't heat up until the water temp reaches the high 50s or 60 degrees. So, you are a bit early for great wiper action at Newcastle right now...

Thanks for the info, guys. Being poor college kids, we were just going to fish from shore and hope for the best. It turns out I have to move into a new apartment that day so we are just going to hit Quail Creek Res in the afternoon since it's only about 15 minutes away. I've only fished there once several years ago but I remember the bassin' wasn't half bad.
