Took the canoe out for the first time in forever seems like. Need a few more trips to get practiced up again I think haha. Nice day but not much in the way of fish. I did see a stripper splashing the surface so I casted a top water bait at it and he nailed it. As I was grabbing it into the boat the line broke and the hook hit my thumb. He swama away with my favorite lure. I woulda released it anyway but would have loved to get a picture. He was super fat, all the stripers I caught last year were long and skinny. Good day on the lake still.
