And that clear ice is stronger than it looks, but it is kind of spooky looking. I just haven't been out enough to get a good handle on what is safe. [signature] Re: [cpierce] Oakley Just in case you were wondering - drowning_flys - 02-03-2014 It was good hard ice first thing but had water on top by the afternoon, 4 is still kinda spooky and i never really relax but it was still fun fishing and when its like that i kinda drill holes so you follow the same path so you dont ever find anything unexpected if it would have been the white crusty stuff out day of fishing would have been done before we even got on the ice.
