Twin lakes - FishingSteve - 01-21-2014 Hit Twin lakes today and the fish won! Not many bites, caught one fish and had one pole that was taken by the fish gods as a sacrifice. Twin has been a little slow for me this year, but today was the slowest. It was still fishing and I got a sunburn. No slush and a lot of ice. I'm really hoping the trees and brush flood this spring. Tossing plastics up into that cover for bass and panfish has to be some of the most fun fishing of the year. Last year the trees were high and dry, so I'm crossing my fingers for this spring. [signature] Re: [gstott] Twin lakes - FishingSteve - 01-22-2014 Water levels are quite low this year, so cross your fingers. [signature] Re: [curt69] Twin lakes - gstott - 01-22-2014 Yeah, I hear you on that. I was feeling optimistic when we had five days of storms, and now nothing with little on the horizon. I'm crossing my fingers for a wet February and a wet spring. I don't want to see another Condie, or have it happen to Condie again as it tries to recover. [signature] Re: [FishingSteve] Twin lakes - Stacked69 - 01-22-2014 Fished 1/19. Just like you saw the fishing was slow. I did manage to miss probably the biggest fish I had on this year. Probably would have went 8lbs. He just wouldn't cooperate and come up into the hole. 16 inches of ice. Lake is really low. Need a good snow pack but that's not looking good anywhere in SE Idaho. [signature] Re: [Stacked69] Twin lakes - jeremypeace - 01-23-2014 8# fish in twin ? Wow. [signature] Re: [jeremypeace] Twin lakes - Stacked69 - 01-23-2014 Said it may have gone 8#, but will never know for sure. Judging a fish weight under water can be deceptive. A friend standing right next to me saw it and nearly "crapped" his pants when he saw it, especially after it got off. Fished Twin Lakes in the summer 4 years ago and my father in law pulled out a 7# rainbow. [signature] |
