Skunked on The Ogden - that_guy - 01-17-2014
Me and a buddy hit the Ogden today with no luck. We fished from Wall Ave all the way to the Dinosaur park. We only saw a few fish but none of them would bite. I did see one take a few midges off the surface that got my heart racing for a second but that was about the most excitement all day.
Anybody else been having luck on the Ogden lately? We were scratching our heads by then end of the day, trying to figure out what we were doing so wrong. It's been a long time since the two of us have gone together and neither caught a fish.

It's been really rough in that section this winter season. I've found that the closer I get to the canyon, the better. The South Fork has been decent if you can find the deep pools. I've had mild success with small midges and dropping a San Juan about 6-9 inches below that.
