Hey guys,
It is that time of year again. The Idaho Youth Outdoors Youth Ice Fishing Day at Horsethief was a success despite the weather and now it is time to raise money for next years event. That means the 2nd Annual Cascade Ice Fishing Derby now the Hardwater Classic. Here are the details:
Hardwater Classic
All proceeds to benefit Idaho Youth Outdoors Annual Youth Ice Fishing Day
Chili Dinner provided to all participants
One Day - Saturday, January 25th 2014
Location - Cascade Lake & Cascade American Legion
Registration - Morning of at Cascade American Legion or online at http://idahoyouthoutdoors.org
Start Time - 6AM Registration opens at 5AM
Entry Fee - $25 Adult $10 Youth 14 and under
Cash Prizes by Weight and Ties broken by time of weigh in
1st Perch - $300
2nd Perch - $200
3rd Perch - $100
1st trout - $200
2nd trout - $100
3rd trout- $50
Biggest non-competition fish: $50
1st youth perch - $100
2nd youth perch - $50
3rd youth perch - $25
1st youth trout - $100
2nd youth trout- $50
3rd youth trout- $25

nice. fishing was a bit slow for us but still a good time. I went up for the sole intention of seeing the sun. biggest for us was 1.4#. didn't enter the derby though. getting hooked on this. haven't been for a lot of years. the hand auger up there sucks. lol!! thinking hard on a gasser for next year.

Yea hand auger is no fun up there... I made that investment 4 years ago, than electronics/flasher was next.... Gotta be in the right spot at the right time... The spot I fished is good from 10am too 11am it's pretty much dead after that... A lot of luck helps,
