2013 fish of the year - idahoron - 01-08-2014 I almost forgot the annual fish of the year thread. SO lets see your 2013 fish of the year. This year I am posting another pontoon Sturgeon pic and a cat of the year pic. I didn't get a pic of my biggest sturgeon. The cat was 32" long. Ron Here is my son Jacobs pic of the year. My biggest carp on the fly rod 31" mirror on my 5wt. And the biggest channel I've caught yet. Not sure on length. Not only is it a thrill to catch a fish like that, catching it through the ice on UL gear made it even better. 2013 was a great year. I'm excited for 2014. Haven't seen this quality of perch on our side of the state in a long time. My daughter landed a massive buck steelhead that's still at the taxidermist and my son landed a big native buck too. [signature] Re: [idahoron] 2013 fish of the year - gstott - 01-09-2014 I'll have to do best of various species. 2013 wasn't my best year for numbers, and I didn't make it out as much as usual, but I was happy with the overall quality of fish I caught. First up, a pair of 20" largemouth I caught one afternoon at the end of August. [inline "big bass 5 small.jpg"] [inline "biggest bass small.jpg"] I also caught a couple at 19" that day too.
