The Bureau of Reclamation is[url "http://www.usbr.gov/pn/programs/ea/idaho/ririe/index.html"] proposing[/url] keeping more water in Ririe Reservoir over the winter. You can review the proposal and comment. It's too late to get to the public meeting, but written comments will be accepted through Jan. 17.
I'm leaning against the idea because how will I know where to fish if I can't see the island? [shocked]

If you don't have a gps , get one . Mark your favorite spots this winter . Then you wont need the Island .

any idea when they are planning on filling her up? ill be down there from the 23rd till the 2nd and i know it has ice on it now. no sure its safe but if i do get on it i dont want to be ankle deep in ware on top of ice.

They still need an environmental assessment before changing the plan. So it won't affect storage this winter and probably not next.
