I havent been out that way lately but everything else around here (Rexburg) had almost 4" as of yesterday. I'm thinking it should be plenty frozen with how cold its been.

Hope you have some small ice flies we fished Roberts on Wednesday. Nothing but hordes of 3" perch.

Thanks for the report, I was hoping for a few five inchers, sounds like a winter a couple of years ago.

I thought they were going to plant a very aggressive fish in there that was sterile so they could contol the number of them , but still reduce the number of perch .

Thanks for the reports guys. Didn't make it out to Roberts on Saturday. I was going to go out this Thursday but my wife gave birth early Monday morning and he is still in NICU. So doesn't look like I will be going out on the ice for a few weeks.

Nathan,

I hadn't heard. What's the issue. We'll keep your family in our prayers. Boy or girl?

H&H It's a Boy. Baden Perry Foster was born December 9th at 12:20 am. He weighs 7 lbs 5oz and was 19 inches long. He has what they call TTN. From what I understand he was born so fast that the pressure from being born that would normally push the amniotic fluid out of the lungs did not occur he still had a little fluid in his lungs. Because of it his lungs are not working quite up to par and needs to be on oxygen until his body gets rid of or absorbs that fluid. He isn't in any real danger of long term effects but he cant feed with out a feeding tube until his respiratory rate comes down. Its all a waiting game till his body takes care of the issue. Just tough to see him with so many tubes and monitors hooked up to him. Hopefully the issue will be taken care of soon. We are anxious to take him home.
