Need help with Fishing Gear - MTDi - 11-30-2013 Hey all, I'm coming down to fort myers for a 2 weeks fishing get away in about 2 weeks. Its going to be me and my brother. We usually go down to florida every winter. Last year we had a blast fishing both on piers and inshore. However we had some old fishing reels/poles from i dont know how many years back. This year we decided to get some new gear for our trip. My budget is around 300 dollars and was hoping to get 2-3 sets (reels+poles). Nothing to expensive but good enough. (we bought 2 shakespeare fishing poles from walmart last year and it broke on us w/in 2 days). Anyways please let me know if 300 is doable and point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance guys! If you are looking for tackle that can take a beating and keep ticking Diawa BG Combos or the new Penn Fierce Combos. Charter boats tend to have these as the are very durable and cheap. Diawa, Shimano are two good brands. [signature] |
