Chesterfield update - redneckjmr - 11-26-2013

I was in the area sunday and decided to check on the ice conditions.
At the boat dock there was 4 inches of nice clear ice...unfortunately i didnt have any of my gear or i would have tried it out! Maybe next weekend if the ice holds up.

Thanks for the report. Is there any snow or maybe problems getting in there in a 2 wheel drive ? Thinking about a first time trip there tomorrow

Re: [drowning_flys] Chesterfield update - cpierce - 11-30-2013

For a first time trip..... Nipper Rd looks straighter and shorter, but be aware that it is also gravel and the condition varies.

Kelly-Toponce Rd curves around a little longer, but it is paved all the way until you turn left onto Nipper/Basin Rd to get to the reservoir.

Good luck and hope you catch a bunch!

You will probably need ice cleats . That lake can be very slick with no snow on it .

[Wink] Took my daughter Niki out today and caught several nice fish. First time out this year. We caught about sixteen before we kept a few for dinner. Little bit of Rain and wind, but a fun time.
