Our first Sturgeon Date of 2013 - idahoron - 07-06-2013 My wife and I went sturgeon fishing today. I got to take a vacation day and she closed up shop for the day. We got to the launch about an hour late []. I was a little mad at my self for that but It is hard to get up at 4:00 am on a non work day. We tied the boats together and away we went. We got to the hole late and I was into my first fish in 8 minutes. After that it was business as usual for about 3 hours. I caught 7 sturgeon before the hole shut down. I took a lot of video and She got a lot of pictures. Here are a few pictures. I had a couple close calls with a fish wanting to share my seat but everything went great. I am planning to give this group a rest for a couple weeks. I am afraid that they will start recognizing me. The F&G want a lot of pictures of that fish if I can catch it again. I have a crappy video of it but they are thinking it might be a natural recruitment fish. I asked for a Pit tag reader to be loaned to me but they are using them right now. Ron [signature]
