So I was looking at put tag stats for salmon. I see there are salmon that are south fork of the salmon bound. How many fish per pit tag do they estimate travel along?
Will there be a SF salmon season

Its all based on how many fish were released compared to how many were pitt tagged. All the hatcheries dont pitt tag at the same rate so determining the actual number of fish going over the dam is tough without knowing how many were tagged. But more pitt tags = more untagged fish usually.
As far as the SF fish this year. Right now its not looking good. 2013 pitt tag #s are way below 2012 and 2011 numbers. Last time I checked there were 72 pitt tags over Bonn for 2013 vs 250 for the same time in 2012

Where do you go to see the pitt tag information. I have looked a few times for salmon and steelhead and have not found the data.
