Riggins monday maybe - hammerindown - 05-09-2013
Anyone heard of people fishing riggins yet? I am sure someone will be hitting it this weekend. Also does anyone know an average time it take for the fish to get from lower granite to riggins?

I'm sure there are already people fishing Riggins but I haven't talked to anyone personally. They do have a few fish in the trap already so there's fish there. When I talked to a f&g biologist it takes 5 to 7 days for the fish to get that distance. About the same for Hell's Canyon dam where I'm headed Saturday.

My experience would say it takes more like 10-14 days, but if I was itching for it, I'd go anyway. Fishing is often best right when the fish first arrive before the growds get too big. You never know how many you'll catch if you go, but I know exactly how many fish I've caught from my couch.

Well I did go. Fishing was great!! Catching sucked the river came up a ton over night and it was high and like fishing in chocolate milk. Oh well I usually go an everyone says you should have been here yesterday! I couldn't help myself I just had to try.
