I Bought A Gun To Paint With, Off Craigslist For 20 Bucks. I Have A Small Compressor I Used And The Paint Hardener And Thinner Was Like 70 Bucks. Im In It Less Than 100.00 And I Used Half Of That Gallon To Paint My Sons Blazer.

Not bad, I already have a paint gun and I'm looking into buying another compressor, so I can double my capacity but it does not sound like i need to. I guess you did not use any special marine paint. Did you just paint it outside? Did you have to use more than one coat of paint?

I Used Two Coats, I Stripped Everything From The Boat. Windshield And All. I SearcheWod It Online About Using That Kind Of Paint. There Are Guys On There That Used ThAt Kind Of Paint 10 Yrs Ago And They Say It Is Still Strong Today. My Dad Has A Boat That Got Painted With Auto Paint About 8 Years Ago And It Is Still Nice Today.

Thanks for the info. One last question, did you sand the old paint off or just feather edge the scratches and chips of the old paint before shooting the new paint on?

I Just Sanded It. For The Most Part I Used A Scratch Pad And Roughed Up The Surface A Little Bit. Im Not A Pro,I Made A Few Runs. But All In All Turned Out Pretty Good.

NoTraining, Just Picked It Up I Guess. I Used To Paint My Race Cars. I Raced Winged Sprints On Dirt Track. I Like To Paint. I Could Help You If You Like.
