Anyone have any info as to the ice situation at Henry's Lake?

It was fully iced this past Monday, but it's really moot since it does not open until the Saturday before Memorial Day.

You don't want to see Henry's ice come off till the week leading up to opening day. If it comes off early, hatches start, the fish get active early and a lot of times when this happens it's no good on opening day. A couple of years ago I was using my downrigger on Henry's (Yes believe it or not, on shallow Henry's) and the cable was hitting submerged ice and turning my little boat sideways, big pieces of ice!

I think the ice will come off very early . The camera at the state boat dock shows very little snow and the temps are very high for this time of year .

Best weekend ever had the lake fully iced over the weekend prior to the opening. But there seems to be more plants in the lake now and the longer the ice is on the greater the chance there is to have some winter kill due to the dying plants using and not making any oxygen thaat is left. My guess for ice off by the end of this month.
