Deadwood? - nijimasu - 02-27-2013

Saw a picture at work of a kid clutching a football-fat trout that was bigger than he was- all it said on the photo was "Deadwood 2013"- any you guys hitting it? Does it take a snow machine to get in there these days?

no way to drive in there until at least june. ive snowmobiled in there several times but scott mtn rd is NOT for inexperienced riders. cape horn or warm lake are the easier but long way in there. with the warmer weather i would expect it to be harder to get out on the ice.

Are you sure that "trout" wasn't a chinook? Mike

Oh it was a rainbow, and a toad. I also saw the picture. Yes it is a snowmachine in deal. Not sure how thick the ice is, but I would bet it is still good...

funny you say chinook. back when we snowmobiled in there my biggest chinook was 5 and had a pole pulled in one other time.who knows what that was.

I checked out the photo you alluded to before editing the post. Nope, not the same kid, but the fish in my kid's picture was of similar size and proportions.
