New to North Idaho - smiley77 - 02-08-2013

Hi, Glad to find a forum for north idaho. Recently moved to CDA near Hayden and would love to hookup with some older (69yrs) fishermen . I don't have a boat yet, but am looking for one (suggestions will be appreciated). If it swims and fights,I like to catch it. I will fish any day my wife will let me. However I have never ice fished but I guess I could be tempted. email me tomnix77@gmail.com and I'll buy the coffee

Hey Smiley,
Welcome - not many guys on here from up north but a few do chime in once and a while. I grew up in that area and manage to fish up there 2 or 3 times a year. You're going to really enjoy the opportunities you have. And give that ice fishing a try you may like it. You may want to go hit the ice and just talk with people fishing to make some contacts and get an idea how ice fishing is done. Most ice fisherman love to bs so don't be shy. Heyden and Cocolalla lakes are good starters. Keep us posted on your adventures.
