First trip to payette - bigd85yota - 02-01-2013 Thinking about heading up to payette lake for some fishing. Maybe trying to target some walleye. I haven't seen any reports on payette and I have never fished there before. Does anyone have any idea on where to go there? What is the best fish to target there right now? It's a ways away to go up for me to just get my line wet without a clue. [signature] Re: [bigd85yota] First trip to payette - Kodiak1 - 02-01-2013 Payette Lake doesn't have walleye. A smattering of rainbows/cutthroat, macks, and kokanee. Don't even bother w/o a boat. Lake Cascade, south of P.L., has more reliable fishing, esp. if you don't know Payette. If you go, good luck. [signature] |
